The Inaugral Session of International Conference at Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Management Studies and Research (BVIMSR), Belapur Navi Mumbai on 19 th January was a grand success where people from various fields participated. There were stalwarts from Corporate and academia who interacted in these two days. The sun rose for conference with the registration process for the participants which began by 9.30am. The college offered their amazing quality of hospitality towards their participants and made them feel at home. The inauguration ceremony marked the beginning of the conference. To make the beginning a blessed one, Goddess Saraswati was invoked by kindling the lamp of knowledge and wisdom accompanied by a prayer song by a student. The auditorium was packed to brim with Research Scholars, Industry Professionals, Faculties and Students from various Management Institutes. The student anchors extended their warm welcome to the dignitaries and presentees. This was followed by an enlightening speech by the Convener Dr. Anjali Kalse, throwing light on the rich history of Bharati Vidyapeeth University and BVIMSR and also highlighting the theme of the conference. She then felicitated the Chief Guest Dr. Shirish Patil, Vice-Chancellor, DY Patil University, Mumbai, Guest of honour Dr. M.S.Sagare Sir, Joint Secretary-Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune, Guest speakers Mr. Andrew Geddie (Faculty, Regenesys Business School, Sandton, South Africa) and Dr. Sajeev Nair, Sr. V.P, Learning & Development (Reliance Ind. Ltd) . She also welcomed the audience and Researchers across all states and different campus where audience was connected through live telecast.
The Guest of honour Dr. M.S. Sagare Sir shared his views about the inspirational journey of Hon. Dr.Patangrao Kadam Sir, the founder of. Bharati Vidyapeeth and his book. It was a thought-provoking speech highlighting the pivotal role of Digitization in empowerment of Education sector. The students were really thrilled to listen to the next Guest speaker, Mr. Andrew Geddie, Faculty, Regenesys Business School, Sandton, South Africa. He shared a wonderful power-point presentation about MOOCs and his experiences in South Africa. It was an enriching speech induced with lots of humour to the delight of the students. He also gave a comparative analysis of two countries in terms of digitization and communication. He then praised Indian efforts towards empowering common man through better governance and digitization. The Chief Guest Dr. Shirish Patil, Vice-Chancellor, DY Patil University, Mumbai was the next to grace the Dias. He spoke at length about the need of digitization in the education. Dr. Sajeev Nair, Sr. V.P, Learning & Development (Reliance Ind. Ltd) stressed on the traits and skills required in the industires and expressed that digitization will play key role in the success of the “Make in India” initiative promoted by the Government of India. He also described the relation between the two prominent areas “Digital India” and “Make in India” on the global panorama. He then threw light upon Reliance Ind. Ltd. Initiatives in the same field. The vote of thanks was extended by the Co-convener Dr. Purvi Pujari who emphasized about the need of sharing of ideas and providing a podium where both academia and Industry professionals could deliberate, debate, discuss, develop and analyze new aspects of business and management.
